The Cursed Temple Riddle

The Riddle

You broke out of prison for a crime you didn't commit, Running through the jungle you stumble upon the cursed temple.

The guards are getting closer, having no other option you proceed into the cursed temple.

Inside 3 genies appear, They tell you if you can solve this puzzle, you will be granted your greatest wish, freedom. If not you will be given your biggest fear and cast back to prison for eternity and will never be deemed innocent.

The genie hands you a paper with the instruction and it says

“One of the three genies has the wish, the other 2 have your fear”

The paper also says that at least one genie is a liar, and at least one is truthful

Here are 3 statements each genie has made:

Genie 1: Genie 2 does not have the wish

Genie 2: I do not have the wish

Genie 3: I have the wish

Which genie has the wish? And why?

The Answer

If Genie 3 has the wish then all three statements are true, which would mean that all three of the Genies are telling the truth, contrary to what is given.

If Genie 2 has the wish then all three must be Liars, again contrary to what is given.

Therefore it must be that A has the prize (and also A and B are telling the truth and Genie 3 is a Liar).
